My PC crashed Again!

At last, my PC started working fine after it crashed last Friday. I called the technician the same day but due Diwali holidays there was lot of backlog and also there weren’t enough men available to do the job. Most of them went on a Diwali vacation. Otherwise, my PC would have been running smoothly in a day or two. Now it took four days!

I thought my PC has become outdated and that’s why it is giving me problem now-a-days. But the problem was something else. The two RAMs in the PC were conflicting with each other. Hence the older one which was slowing down the PC had to be removed.

Due this technical problem I had to stay offline without even touching my PC. I couldn’t even drop on entrecard and Adgitize for four days at a stretch. I hope my e-buddies will understand my problem and continue to give their support by regularly visiting my site.

Life Sans Love - A Poem

The following poem was penned by me on March 1, 2007 when I was feeling very lonely and loveless.

LIFE SANS LOVE

Life is so lonely, loveless & so dry
Can’t complain & even cry
Doesn’t matter whom I love & admire
For whom my heart beats & is on fire
But cede to divine desire.

My desire, my wish
Has no meaning, no weight
Can’t even dream of that perfect bliss
With my love, my cherished mate
For God’s will is my only fate.

Life is fruitless and futile,
Crawling like a big reptile,
Compassion and pity is all
I get in life, which I call
Is nothing but big beggar’s bowl.

Wealth, woman, wine and not even fame,
Just to behold Love’s lovely smile
With dimples adorning - all the while
If not she, then just her name
On my desert lips - be my only aim.

Even a wish to die is not simply mine
In the eyes of Lord it’s not simply fine
No choice left but to drag the life
Through the sharp edge of the cruel knife.

Recession Lexicon

The recent world recession has added many new words to our vocabulary. It enriched the Lexicon with really interesting words. Some of them are as follows:

  • Bankster: It is a combined form of banker and gangster.

  • Canniversary: A year from the date when you got canned from your job.

  • Clunkerf*ck: It is what happens when government issues coupons on cars but doesn’t use the same printing machine as it seems to for a currency.

  • Frugillionaires: It is used for those who have mastered the art of frugality – living richly while saving a fortune. They bank their bonuses, bring their lunches to work, and borrow things instead of money. But though they are adept at cutting costs, their lives are not about deprivation. Instead, they cultivate a sense of appreciation that brings them wealth beyond measure.

  • Lazylancing: It is when you subsidize your travel with freelance work after being laid off from job.

  • Recession: Now-a-days it is used to describe anything sting or lacking. For example: “Look at this recession biscuits. It’s only got three chocolate chips.”

  • Recessionista: One who remains stylish during times of economic hardship a woman who updates her wardrobe in a frugal manner.

  • Slayoff: It is used to describe a particularly cold-blooded method of laying off employees.

  • Staycation: It means a holiday spent at home, especially due to straitened financial circumstances.

  • Zombie bank: It is used for a bank that has a negative worth but continues to operate because of depositor’s insurance or other governmental intervention.

Hope Against Hope - A Poem

I composed this poem on October 21, 2008. This poem reflects my true feelings and emotions. If you like the poem please do leave a comment.

   Hope Against Hope

I will love you forever
But you won’t love me a bit – I can bet;
You won’t even think of me – never and ever;
Still I’ll keep on loving you just like that.

Even if I die for you, my love
You won’t even look back
for once to see my fate.
I know you will choose to love
a lifeless gravel or a vagabond but me,
Still you will be the one and only one for me.
Oh, you are not cruel, it’s just my fate
And if you’ll know my feelings, you’ll just hate.

But no matter, till eternity I’ll have to wait.
For only hope is what I have with me
And I hope that my hope will win
One day....you see....

Strangulated Feeling - Poem Now A Video

I posted my poem 'Strangulated Feeling' on this blog sometime back. Actually before I posted this poem on my blog or I must say even before I started this blog, I submitted this poem to my online blogger-cum-friend to post it on her blog Loving You. She liked the poem so much that she made a very nice video out of my poem and she posted not only the poem but also the video on her blog. I'm really thankful to her. I 'm embedding the video of my poem in this post. All the credit for making the video goes to AHLOCK the owner of the blog 'Loving You'.

A Heart Touching Story

A Heart Touching Story

(Last day I received a very interesting email from one of my friends which had the following story in it. I liked it very much so I thought I should post it here and share it with my readers. I hope you will like it.)

Once upon a time there was a little boy who was raised in an orphanage.
The little boy had always wished that he could fly like a bird.
It was very difficult for him to understand why he could not fly.
There were birds at the zoo that were much bigger than he, and they could fly
"Why can't I?" he thought. "Is there something wrong with me?" he wondered.

There was another little boy who was crippled. He had always wished that he could walk
and run like other little boys and girls.

"Why can't I be like them?" he thought.

One day the little orphan boy who had wanted to fly like a bird ran away from the orphanage.
He came upon a park where he saw the little boy who could not walk or run playing in the
sandbox. He ran over to the little boy and asked him if he had ever wanted to fly like a bird.

"No," said the little boy who could not walk or run. "But I have wondered what it would be
like to walk and run like other boys and girls."

"That is very sad”, said the little boy who wanted to fly. "Do you think we could be friends?"
he said to the little boy in the sandbox.

"Sure." said the little boy. The two little boys played for hours. They made sand castles
and made really funny sounds with their mouths. Sounds, which made them laugh,
real hard. Then the little boy's father came with a wheelchair to pick up his son.
The little boy who had always wanted to fly ran over to the boy's father and
whispered something into his ear.

"That would be OK," said the man.

The little boy who had always wanted to fly like a bird ran over to his new friend and said,
"You are my only friend and I wish that there was something that I could do to make
you walk and run like other little boys and girls. But I can't. But there is something that I can do for you."

The little orphan boy turned around and told his new friend to slide up onto his back.
He then began to run across the grass. Faster and faster he ran, carrying the little crippled boy
on his back. Faster and harder he ran across the park. Harder and harder he made his legs travel.
Soon the wind just whistled across the two little boys' faces.

The little boy's father began to cry as he watched his beautiful little crippled son flapping
his arms up and down in the wind, all the while yelling at the top of his voice,
"I'M FLYING, DADDY. I'M FLYING!"

Moral Of The Story :

Always try to find happiness
by making others happy.
